People pick a restaurant on their phone, in the minute they decide where to eat. Bijou was one old page with the menu shut inside a PDF that pinched and zoomed and made a hungry person work for it, so plenty of them just closed the tab.
We rebuilt it as a proper site: the dishes up front and readable on a phone, the phone number one tap from anywhere, and the pages search engines needed to rank Bijou for the food people search for.
In the six months after launch, calls to the restaurant went up 72%. More people found them, and a higher share of the ones who did picked up the phone. Same food, same kitchen. The site just stopped getting in the way.
An outdated one-page site with the menu buried in a PDF.
+72% more calls
Calls in the six months after launch, compared with the six before. Better search rankings brought more visitors, and a higher share of them called.
